"Attack one, prime two" applies well in the early stage of prime formation, but at the moment that you have a well developed prime, then just roll it home against a single checker - like you mention, easier to roll a full or almost full prime home against a single checker than against two.

I don't think the "attack one, prime two" rule is bad, but it needs to come with a description of the stage of the prime development to which it applies. Here the prime is strong enough to make an escape by the singe back checker unlikely, so concentrate on the priming plan.

I like the double slot as well, BTW.
