Stack of five checkers on 6 pt, anchor , need to trap that last checker , blot in opponent's homeboard, stronger homeboard, timing issues. Double slot now. Just look at the resulting position: if you re missed, then you re in good shape to make new homeboard points. He can hit and get stuck, but then he has a blot on deuce point and you ll have all those builders to attack him. He can hit and junp out, but still he has a blot. Even if you miss it, hitting and jumping out is a good roll for him anyway. In fact it may help you to preserve your timing for a holding game. Playing safe with 10/6 8/5 hurts my eyes and is just bad. But 10/7 8/4 looks good and may be even stronger than double slot. It does nothing about your stack on 6pt though.
