Stick: The second option and I believe my preferred option would be to allow the 62S-54? to stand and go from there, re-rolling the third roll. For the player to be able to play the 54 knowing your upcoming roll isn't an option. (esp. since it was his error in setup that caused the scenario)

Christian: It's ok for player 1 to know the opponent will get a 54?

My ruling: Restart the game from scratch.
