The notion of transforming cashes into some funny cubeless spread is surely a pure artifact of the history of bots.

Oh? Cubeless numbers are useful. At least much used, long before bots were around. The adjusted money game take point -- 25% adjusted up or down for gammons and cube vig -- is cubeless. And if someone says, for instance, "that's a 0.580 take," that 0.580 is cubeless. Cube vig reduces it to below 0.500.

When a bot ends a rollout with double/pass, it estimates how all those games would end if played out cubelessly. That the bot plays cubefully and thereby estimates cubeless numbers in the case of double/pass doesn't change the fact there is an underlying cubeless GWC in every position.
