In Response To: Realgammon role (Casper van der Tak)

I vote for 6/1* 8/5, too. It reminds me of Marty Storer's Backgammon Praxis where he speaks of the Phantom hit. The idea is basically if a further blot were situated on the 5 point one wouldn't hesitate to hit with 8/5*. I think this is one of those situations, especially in light of the flexibiliy problems.

Backgammon Praxis (Part 1 and 2) is a great read BTW for anyone who's interested.
