6/1*(2) doesn't look like it can be right; there's no ammunition for a blitz and it gives up way too much. So 23/8 looks pretty clear for the first three 5's. The main question is whether to stack up further on the 8-point with 13/8 or to spread things out with 8/3. A five-high stack on the 8-point looks unwieldy but 8/3 semi-kills a checker. A checker on the 3 point is a "dilly builder" that can only be used to build the 1 point or the 2 point so it's not so useful. The spares on the 8 point can often be unloaded soon onto the stripped 6 point and the 5 point where they won't look so awkward.
