In Response To: Introducing DASH - a new notation system (Neil Robins)

I assume the goal is basically the same as with nactation - so that you can post stuff that is totally incomprehensible to anyone but the notation geeks.

Quite the contrary. I strongly feel that traditional notation should be used in forum discussions and I've encouraged others to do so in the past. This keeps the discussions accessible to readers of all levels. I wouldn't want to see DASH used here any more than I do nactation.

But I do think that DASH has its place, particularly for recording live matches and taking notes for personal use. I find it easier to learn and use than nactation, and thought others might also.
