It's worth it at some point. But, I would be very surprised if it was best. I did a quick GNU 4 ply and it was in 6th place at DMP. The value of playing 24-22, looks far greater than playing 13-11 in this position at DMP. You actually have a racing lead of one pip and will probably face a three point prime next turn. Bringing checkers quickly into the zone with a "Down" move is more likely to be a strong play at GG where you have little thought of racing.

I haven't addressed why the N (Near 13-7, 6-4) play is strong at DMP. Perhaps someone else will have thoughts to share about this.
