I have some different view with nack's point here.

1) numbers of return hit in case blue hit from 22point; I agree. after 41 and 42, white has tons of return shots from the bar.

2)3) Actually , if blue can't come out with 4 or 6 , with every roll he should hit on 1 point. Even with 42. So in this case blue might be better to have solid 5prime in stead of broken 5 prime with vulnerable hole in 7point. After blue's loosehit on 1point, it is true 13/9 8/7 has more numbers to make full prime from the bar but what if white might roll simple hit like 16 or 26. Also, after pointed on 1point, 13/9 8/7 and 11/7 8/7 has same number of rolls which can make full prime from the bar. dupe 2 is irrelevant here.

As for speaking of swing, 11/7 8/7 followed by 44 is much worse than 13/9 8/7 followed by 66 although it is only one roll. In many other variations (like blue hit outside , but white anchored without return hit), having solid 5prime is always better than that with gap.

my bottom line is that making 7point is better but not as much as stick's rollout says.
