Regarding ZEUS (which was co-developed with Frank Frigo, btw), a couple years ago we would have had to beat the pavement to get into these discussions; now they call us. Also, some of you have mentioned reader comments at NYTimes 5th Down Blog. Those used to be 95% negative/ignorant. They're still majority braindead but the percentages have improved. We don't take credit for all of the improvement as others (like Moneyball's Michael Lewis) have written about 4th down playcalling. However, I think our method is still the most sophisticated as we account for all possible outcomes (including outliers) and we customize inputs to the strengths of both teams. We can analyze any situation at any point in the game.
