I don't have any trouble believing it at all. And, I don't have serious disagreement with anything you have posted. I just want to learn better how to apply the things learned from the first and second roll to third and later positions. Part of this is understanding why an opening 51 is played S and 41T-51 is played $. The idea that responder is better suited for a mutual priming battle resonates. One still needs to be able to recognize when this is true.
I'm not as puzzled as I am trying to sound. I understand the fundamentals, probably better than most. I would just like to understand them better.
