This is a trick question. Most of my questions are trick questions in one way or another. Slotting is correct with both 41 and 51. 21 hits of course. The trick is that splitting is generally correct by a very narrow margin after 63R. I have never looked at the details of these choices. So, I welcome comment from anyone who has. I am guessing that the difference between 64R and 63R is outfield control. Opener's outfield checker will often cross the midpoint on the next roll. Splitting prepares for this by allowing a double indirect shot at any blots. 64R is less likely to leave a blot than 63R since sixes can play to the eight point. So, splitting will be slightly less valuable.
