Last time I checked we had a Christian in the White House. Great qualification to REQUIRE in your elected official(s), huh?
BTW, here in Indiana there is a big hullabaloo over a state issued license plate that says in large letters "In God We Trust" and shows a US flag. Here in Indiana there is one official state plate but many special interest plates. The special interest plates cost extra ($15, I believe) and at least some of the extra money goes to an organization which is represented on the plate. (E.g. university, environmental group, etc.) If your organization wants a piece of this they must petition the state and a committee then decides if your cause is worthy or not. Many causes which some deem worthy have been rejected, BTW. The ACLU feels that the "In God We Trust" plate is fine but should carry the extra fee. (Who gets the money? God, of course. :) I saw someone on TV the other day who said their constitution guarantees them to the right to have a license plate with "In God We Trust" on it. I assume that person also feels that the state (i.e. we taxpayers, theistic or otherwise) should pay the extra $ for the non-standard plate, too....
