yeah - maybe I should read the rest of the material :-)

Perhaps my comment that "science is a faith" was a little on the inflammatory side, but I hope I clarified what I meant later when I differentiated between (1) using the scientific method to rigorously draw conclusions about observations and (2) believing that such conclusions will hold true in the future.

I think Poppler's definition of science limits it to #1 above, and that #2 - the inductive part - has nothing to do with science.
