ok, here's a response...

To stick's point: Science quite the contrary go to great ends to prove beyond a reasonable doubt what it claims.

Yes- the scientific method is rigorous about forming conclusions from observation. But... a belief that those conclusions say anything about the future is - if you agree with the problem-of-induction argument - a matter of faith. This agrees with stick's definition of faith... you can't prove the "laws of nature" in the future (science is based on an assumption that the laws of nature are constant - there is no proof), therefore any beliefs concerning it are faith.
