With a second-roll 42 it is correct to dislodge the opponent from the bar point rather than make the four point. I can't see anything in this position to change the ordering.

As a follow up to 41, one must also consider quietly making the nine and shuffling the back chequers (I prefer 23/21 - it comes under the gun but hitting sixes are duplicated). I really don't know whether the quite play is best, but hey, that's why you're doing a rollout, ain't it?

If I'm hitting, I'll do it with 13/7. I prefer the extra covers from the nine over advancing a back man. That's my play OTB, though fully 18 shots hit back.
