XG crashing on desktop

I'm having a problem running XG on my desktop computer. XG frequently crashes while doing rollouts. The nature of the crash is... no error message, nothing, it's as if somebody hit the red X to close the program, but nothing else is affected. It's rather annoying to set up a rollout to run overnight, only to discover in the morning to see that it's stopped. This might happen a couple times a week, but not every day.
Another issue is that when a rollout is going, the computer is basically unusable, even if I set the priority of XG in the Task Manager to Low. Unusable in that every other program is slow to respond. I'll click on a link in a browser, and it will sit there and think. I interrupt XG and instantly the browser wakes up and does its thing. So, while I'm using the computer, I can't have a rollout cooking.
I had a thought that memory is an issue (for the crashing), so I have started closing all other programs when I leave the computer unattended overnight. I've only just started going this, so I can't tell if this is the answer.
Obviously, nobody can tell me definitively what the issue is, but maybe I can get some possible issues.
Dell Inspiron 3020, running Windows 11, 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700, 2100 MHz, 16 GB memory, purchased in May 2023.
