Advantages of base 6?

Almost every human from a young age uses base ten regularly. Suppose though that a person was able to grow up using base six instead. How much of an advantage would that be for backgammon?

One place I see the advantage is that instead of thinking in terms of percentages they could think in terms of persixsquaredages, (they would probably have a nicer name for it). If they know that they need 41 (base 6) persixsquaredages (to someone in base ten that is approximately 69.44%) to consider doubling, they could just see if they have that many wins from the 100 (base six) dice rolls coming up.

Another is pipcounting. Could think in terms of groups of 6 and the excess beyond that. https://bkgm.com/articles/Sengoku/GeneralFormOfPipCount/index.html shows ideas based on this from Zare, Ballard, and Sengoku. I don't believe it to be widely used though but they would be extremely natural to a base 6 person.

Suppose someone is just starting out in backgammon and is learning reference positions. Should they learn their numbers out of 36 instead of of 100 in the first place?
