Casper,

Thanks for your feedback. I will update my web page with your comment about tapping the board .. to decide whether a die is cocked or not. Then, I'll alert my club members to be look for dice-on-checker situations to see if your litmus test would help them discern cocked from not-cocked. I don't want to adopt the new rule until I'm convinced that it won't cause more problems than it solves. At this moment, I believe that the new rule is bad for the reasons that I cite, but I'll try to be open-minded.
