USBGF rule for dice-on-checkers - Ken's examples

These ruling are trivial, and there should be no need to call a director. "Flat" is a common and well understood English word. If "there is some tilt" then it is not flat. Cocked. If "there is no tilt" if it flat. Valid. The definition of flat as it pertains to dimpled checkers is covered in the rule, though I admit the language there is weak, and could be tortured into an ambiguous interpretation.
"Under the old rule, there is no ambiguity."
Seriously, Ken? You've never seen players peering at a die that is touching the wall, trying to figure out if it's cocked? No one who has played backgammon any length of time is going to buy that.
BTW, how many rolls did it take to make the dice land like that? Yeah, that's what I thought.
