Would the advocates for the new rule state how they would rule Ken's two examples?

It is not up to me to make such a ruling.

Even if you are not a tournament director, you may be asked someday to be on a ruling committee which may hear an appeal on a ruling on the validity of a dice roll involving dice landing on one or more checkers.
