Maybe in another few years we can switch something else of a similar fashion, dice flat anywhere on the board might as well count right?!

In the area of the world where dice flat on checkers have long been considered valid, isn't it also customary there to not use dice cups? Maybe we could make dice cups a player preference, this will speed up the game too.
