Size of advantage?

Suppose an expert is say 70% favorite vs a beginner in a one point match. How much larger is the advantage in a two point match? I think its impact is being overstated.

I don't think it's anywhere near 70% - maybe vs true beginners but not vs the subset of players you're likely to meet in 2-pointers who don't know it's correct to double. Closer to 55%, for a 1-point match I would guess. And not knowing correct doubling strategy probably gives away 10 to 15%.
