I'm with you in as much as I don't like 2-point matches, but I wouldn't go as far as saying that they're unsporting. Each match length has its own strategy characteristics/idiosyncrasies, and each can occur naturally as part of a longer match. Let the actual match lengths set by the TD live or die through organic popularity trends as opposed to them being linked to any kind of bad ethical connertations.
