If later in the "Quickie" event on they are paired vs. someone they know is likely to outmaneuver them, they can always double at the first opportunity and end this game-within-a-game

The weaker player who is likely to be outmaneuvered at this score is also quite likely not to know to double at first opportunity to end this 'game-within-a-game' and to lose their market.

So I will not grab my pitchfork and march to DC to protest this change if you decide to make it, but I think it takes a little of the fun out of the Quickie if you do.

And well you shouldn't, Mary...if you were to protest in DC now you would surely stick out like a sore thumb. DC is expected to be a sea of tranquility during the next week or two surrounding the inauguration of our incoming President.

But I am in no position to make any such change binding at any level beyond any event whose brochure bears my name. I seek simply to make my case in the court of public opinion.
