DQ: Hit or run?

Running off the bar-point anchor is a tricky decision IMO. A number of stars have to align for it to be indicated, but when it is indicated, its margin over the alternatives is often pretty large.
I'd identify three key factors here.
1. Opponent's weak board. This is important. If you were to modify the position by covering White's blot on her 5pt, then running becomes significantly less attractive. Note also that if you run, White's 1's are duplicated for hitting and covering.
2. Pip count. You have a big lead in the pip count and so that points towards running. You're running out of time and your opponent's board is only going to get stronger. This is a general pay-now-or-later type of reasoning.
3. Every play leaves a blot anyway, so the only plausible alternative is to hit (as you have identified). Since White is anchored and you have only a two-point board, hitting is unlikely to lead to a successful attack, and on the other hand it risks losing significant ground in the race, which is currently one of your main assets.
