5 point/yes or no ?

I would do the same. I understand the wish to make the 5 point, because it creates a MUCH better position to bring the position home against the deucepoint game, and after White covers you'd need to tighten up a lot, so the chances of making the 5 would go down considerably. Tactically, you'd create a 5 to 2.5 board advantage, which is another motive to make the 5. But number of shots, blots and White's structure makes it too risky to make the 5. Move White's 5 point to the 4 and I am making the 5.
