The following solution to Problem 1 is given in my book Backgammon Funfair.

Blue 54 24/20 13/8 White 31 8/5* 6/5

Blue 66 fan White not good enough to double 66 13/1*(2)

Blue 66 fan White too good to double 55 13/3(2)

Blue 66 fan White too good to double 44 8/4(2), 6/2(2)
