Your study is based on an assumption that the luck factor produced by XG has an actual, absolute meaning. This is quite a strong and possibly incorrect assumption, as it's not 100% clear if it's not correlated to skill.

To me, the only way to measure "luck" is to correlate win % with PR.

Here are some numbers from a small sample of 450 9 and 13 point matches from EBIF Poland tournaments:

61% of matches were won by the player who played with lower PR. Out of 338 matches, where the worse player played with at least 20% worse PR, 63% were won by the better player. Out of 222 matches, where the worse player played with at least 50% worse PR, 70% were won by the better player. Out of 100 matches, where the worse player played with at least 100% worse PR, 75 were won by the better player.

This is a small sample, but at least the results are quite encouraging :P
