This is a good point I believe, at least in theory. Games at certain match scores are far more valuable (or potentially costly), and this is further accentuated whenever the game becomes gammonish or when the cube is raised. This could have a significant effect on optimal clock management, where perhaps more time should be saved up for games towards the end of the match, almost the opposite of what happens in practice for many players who struggle a little with clock management.

Conventional PR which normalises each game to be played as money game with the cube fixed in the centre is perhaps the best PR for training. But a superior method of measuring PR would be able to weight the value/cost of errors in relation to match score and cube level (and perhaps gammon percentages but this could be too complicated).

In practice, however normal PR seems to work very well in practice because it is very rare to find a match where one player has a non-negligible PR advantage whilst at the same time having a non-negligible PR disadvantage.
