I think voting for players for patriotic reasons alone is (or should be) out of keeping with the philosophy behind the Giants List. To be meaningful in my view, the list should be a celebration and acknowledgement of the best players who have been active in live tournaments over the last two years, regardless of any patriotic/factional voting bias. Backgammon like Tennis or Golf is fundamentally a sport of individuals rather than national or international teams.
