Can XG be trusted on this containment play?

If White enters, I want him to have to get up to the edge of the prime and then over it. Especially in those variations where he hits loose in his board, I don't want to leave the door open. If I make 3, I may end up having to hit loose to keep him contained. Versus his 4-point board, I'm more suited to priming than blitzing. As a bonus, making 7 gets my checkers closer to home; it should lose fewer gammons.
