I guess what I'm really asking is – Is the there a exception to the rule when you don't have a free drop and the trailer has a significantly lower PR than the leader?

I gave the example of a race with 0% gammons and 25% games because this is a simple double/take for cash. This is also roughly the position that I was in when I passed it. Would you do the same (against a poor player) or would you take?

At the time I was thinking about some recent discussion on BGO about the take/pass of a double in a non-skill position against a weaker player which was technically a take. I think it was in one of those highest PR tournaments.
