Advanced backgammon (Robertie) still worth it?

I'd say Advanced Backgammon is still well worth studying, and you can make your time even more rewarding by getting Jeremy Bagai's 'Classic Backgammon Revisited' which presents rollout analysis of all the substantially flawed examples in these volumes as well as other major earlier BG tomes (Magriel, Cooke, Dwek . . .).

One approach would be to get Bagai's list of Robertie 'errors' and put an '*' on the relevant pages in Robertie's volumes alerting you to extend the conversation via the other book.
