I've only gone through Advanced Backgammon once (I borrowed them from a friend) but I think they're worthwhile, depending on what price you can get them for.

Errors should not faze anyone who has access to a bot. The important thing is to have a good collection of positions and to have the relevant factors of the position pointed out. Errors are actually good in a way because they show you which positions are subtle and should be studied more carefully.
