In Response To: XG and the Kauder paradox --- surprise! (Timothy Chow)

As I understand the Kauder paradox, it's a position where double/beaver is the correct cube action. So, in the rollout XG wouldn't fail to double, it would only fail to beaver.

If you start with a Kauder paradox (KP) position, will XG fail to beaver in the rollouts? Seems like it wouldn't, so a KP position won't satisfy your quest.

Seems to me that the way to construct it would be to start with a KP and rewind one roll. Starting with the KP with the largest beaver margin would probably give you the biggest rollout error.

I'm not going to try constructing it myself since I'd be quite happy to see Jacoby go away and take Kauder with it.
