Thanks for sending me the extra data. The one thing that jumps out at me is that there are surprisingly many matches in the 3-4 PR range compared to the 4-5 PR range. For one year, there were more matches between 3-4 than between 4-5. I wonder if some players are represented more than once in this sample? Even if not, it suggests that somehow we're not getting a random cross-section of players, but are sampling in a way that stronger players are more likely to show up.
