I always thought that shouting was when someone yells and the noise hurts your ears. It seems hilarious to me that you can underline something, put it in italics, or make it bold, or all of the above, and that's just fine, but someone once decided that capital letter hurt the ears.
So someone makes up a rule and decides something is wrong and then everyone has something to get their undies in a bunch about if it happens. What if someone decides that putting things in bold type or italics is rude as it forces us to look at it more. Personally I think italics is like spitting and people who do it should be harshly criticized.
Does it REALLY hurt your ears when you see all caps?
But if that is what Stick believes, also, and it is his rules, I will certainly abide in the future. It just seems silly to me.
Is there an all-caps police?
When you see someone commit this horrible act of aggression, do you always jump up and do something about it (while we ignore the guy next door who is beating his wife?)
We are, indeed, lucky to have people protecting our serious interests.
