At 4a-4a and 2-cube, redouble take point is 33% and Gammon Value is 98% (when looked up on XG).

Is this saying 'if my chances of winning are below 98% I should redouble else I should play on'?

XG says "Gammon Value is the relative value of winning a gammon compared with the value of winning a single game". Have I interpreted this correctly or can you explain this concept in a way that a simpleton like me can understand and how to apply it in deciding if I'm too good to double.
