What you propose bringing to the tourney would sure beat playing on a laptop or notebook, with one side having to play upside down, or else stand on their head for the whole match!

If it were full-sized, maybe people could adapt to using a touch screen to play. I doubt very many people would want to play on a little tablet screen at a tournament. The tablet option would be fine for a game in the bar afterward, though.

I like its recording feature a lot! You could have it then cough up the match files onto USB drives or SD cards that each player would bring along. They're pretty cheap now, so I think everyone would be willing to buy and bring one.

I think at first you'd need a manual-dice option, until people such as myself who have any programming experience whatsoever, learn to trust the electronic dice. It is going to take this suspicious bear quite a while >>

But if you bring it, I'll try it at least for Blitz matches or a side game or two. And if it gets your six-year-old away from watching TV, you've already got my vote for it being a Very Good Thing.
