Suggested Idea for Performance Grading

I like your thinking. BUT. These are titles that are normally awarded to performance as its measured in results, not in performance per match. So, you could have someone play 10 consecutive matches under 4, get whatever arbitrary title awarded to them for it, and then they promptly start playing at a 6. All the title says really is that at one time for 10 consecutive matches, they played to a certain standard.
Also, you are strongly tying these to XG. I realize that it is currently the best bot out there, however, back in the day, Jellyfish was, then Snowie was, then GNU, and so on. It is foolish to tie what potentially could be a long term title or status to the current best bot's level of play.
So, not wanting to rain on your parade here, because I like they way you are thinking, but I dont think its practical. Follow the example of Chess and Bridge - they do it that way for a reason, assign the titles to results.
