Losing your market at 2a2a

Well you can have an inferior position in which case it would be a bum idea to double, then roll 66 or some other convenient joker and have an overwhelming position in which you have "lost your market" at your next turn.
Perhaps it took a good roll for you, and his worst to get there? Because it is kind of a long shot parlay. But those happen all the time and you probably don't have to play sub-optimally to lose your market.
By the way, I don't subscribe to the theory that one should double in a 2 point match with any market losers. I basically refuse to double my opponent IN when I am a dog in the position. I don't care, either! Let the super experts continue to do that, and I will continue to take advantage of those players, (numerous at ABT events), who fail to double me at their next turn despite the fact that they are the favorite.
Its the difference between hypothetical and reality. Remind me to tell you that joke, it is funny!
