Backgammon Literature

In Response To: Backgammon Literature (Casper Van der Tak)

If I remember the book right (I have an autographed copy marred by my pencilled scribblings of 1980), W. Cooke played an eccentric and wild brand of backgammon, and his PR must have been much worse than Martyn's, Dwek's, or B. Cooke's.

Somewhere, I forget where, Martyn advocated 64: 8/2 6/2 in response to opening 65R, which I snorted at then (must have been 1980s), but which actually isn't at all bad.
