Interesting.

Tim recently did a series of trap plays over at rgb. At one point Stick opined that a 2 point board == always trap. I guess this is a counterexample.

I'd surmize that the spare on the anchor means the trap play isn't as effective as it would be with a stripped anchor, and that the closeness of the race tips it toward keeping the blockade.

Clearing from the rear is the "obvious" play, but I'm not at all surprised that it's not best, although otb most likely I would have "checked out" at this point and played that. My XGR++ says it's .06 error.
