Remembering 1 Number while calc the 2th

Why not just subtract 100 for counts above 129? At 138, for instance, just put your thumb near the 3pt and a finger near the 8pt. A glance later will confirm that you meant 138 rather than 38. In practice, I use the checker tray as a 13th "point" and sometimes use any location beyond as a 14th point. I need subtract 100 only for larger counts.
