it's the same in pool, race to 7 or 11 used to be the thing(rarely 17), now longer races(for action) are the thing, 25 is typical the past few years.

the funny thing is in ahead sets 5,7 or 10 and I have no idea why, just tradition. 10 ahead can take a long time in one pocket.

I figured the same in BG, just the way it is.
