If that is the basis (as opposed to enormous fame), Jim Thorpe has to be on the list. Among his achievements:

Along with one other guy who ran distances, he was the entire track and field team for Carlisle, and they were competitive!

He was Carlisle's star football player, playing sixty minutes a game. He was possibly the greatest running back (they weren't called that then) of his era, and maybe the best kicker, and maybe the best defensive back all at once. And while they didn't pass much, he did that too.

Meanwhile, he was playing semi-pro baseball, which got him in hot water later at the Olympics.

At the Olympics the King of Sweden called him the GOAT for his track and field feats.

He knocked around playing pro baseball and football. In 1920 when the NFL was formed he was already in his early thirties and was an alcoholic. He played ten more years and is in the HOF.

He was a scratch golfer.

He bowled a 210 average.

He was awesome at table tennis.

I don't know if he was any good at tiddly-winks.
