The extra checker off is good for the gammon and winning chances if do get hit later on so would need to be significantly more likely to leave a future shot for it to be incorrect.

If do look ahead one roll 5/o 1/o blots immediately on 7 rolls (33, 65, 62, 52). Possibly remove 33 since they will run one with some rolls.

5/o 5/4 blots immediately on 4 numbers (63, 53) and hole is forced on the the other seven threes. Often the 5 is cleared when it would not have been after 5/o 1/o though sometimes at the expense of an additional checker not being removed.

I will guess that the clearing of the 5 is not quite as important as the seven numbers which force the hole. The 3 extra immediate shot numbers lead to extra immediate hit about 1/36 times. Those hits do not always win and I think the extra checker off is worth them.
