You are obviously still interested in the game and you are obviously still one of the best players in the world. Most of us could never dream of achieving your level of skill, and you don't play! It's like Michael Jordan deciding to retire after a few years when he still had several great years in him, or Tiger, or any other truly gifted person in any game or sport.

I have been of the opinion, for a long time, that if you played and posted a PR of say, 3 or 4, we would probably find out years later that XG was wrong on several plays and you really did play at 2 after all.

What would it take to get you to play? Or now that we are in the age where it is virtually impossible not to have major matches recorded must we simply accept that for whatever reasons we will never again see you play?

Every time I read one of your amazing posts, and every time I see that there is virtually no one in the world that would challenge or disagree with hardly anything you state, I have to feel a sense of loss for the game.

Am I the only one feeling this way? I would never begin to be so presumptuous as to try to explain why I think you should play...that's entirely your business...just know that it would be a wonderful thing for the game and the backgammon community to see you back some day...if only for a single exhibition match against someone great like Mochy...or maybe we can line up a challenge between you and Grandell or Levermann or Gus?
