HOMINID asked:

Why are so many problems set as unlimited? I would have thought most visitors to bgonline are match orientated.

Taper_Mike gave an answer to that question in this post.

It's pretty common practice, when trying to understand a position, to first understand the position when it's a money game, and then make an adjustment for the score if necessary. For most people, this is much easier than trying to keep a separate mental filing cabinet for every possible score and cube value/location. Certainly, whenever I'm reviewing my errors in a match, the first thing I do is to convert it to an unlimited game and see if the bot gives more-or-less the same verdict. If so, then it means that I have a general misunderstanding of what's going on in the position. If not, then it often means that my general intuition for the position was correct, but that I failed to make the appropriate score-based adjustment.
